I have started using cold cream and pure witch hazel on my face. It's pretty good. I read it on a vintage blog. The process goes thusly:

- wash face with normal facewash, something plain like Simple.
- rub cold cream in.
- take off with a damp hot cloth.
- wipe off the last bits with a sweep of a cotton wool pad soaked in witch hazel.

I enjoy exfoliating stuff on my face but I think sometimes it's too harsh and doesn't do you much good. Especially on the rest of my body - I used a Body Shop raspberry scrub on my legs with exfoliating gloves (bought for me by my boyfriend's mum, I never buy experimental cosmetic things) and my legs went all red and sore

And in answer to clotty's title question...I only use aqueous cream *down there* because EVERYTHING else gives me thrush or general uncomfortableness. My vagina is such a bloody fusspot.

I started using pammys lavender soap yesterday and let me tell you, even a mess of jizz and menstruals was no match for it.... you can put that on your site Pam. Ran out of my favourite lush sandstone. St Ives is the **** though cocoa butter always leaves me feeling greasy like it doesnt fully absorb and then I smell like this weird curator at work, she's either cocoa butter or coconut oil dirty *****.

as far as exfoliating let me tell you guys a story.

a few days ago i had to redye 180 dollar hair that i literally had professionally dyed less than a month ago. and boy was i ****ed. but that's not the story... so anyway i dyed it red and it pretty much looked like dexter hit up my bathroom. it looked like i was the victim so when i rinsed this bull**** out it only made it worse.

anyway sassybeard bought this lush at the lush shop in roseville this one day a few days ago for his beard, but never really uses it. well i'm out of apricot scrub so i used it. and i tell you what. idk what kind it is, but it not only exfoliated the **** out of my skin it ERASED THE DYE RIGHT OUT OF MY ****ING TUB.

that is powerful ****.

i am pretty satisfied with this experience. and will continue to use it because he doesn't.

If this happens again tipping bleach on it gets rid of it too.
