I know everyone says you get black bogeys from the tube but I have a bad chest (again), and I coughed and had to spit in the sink and it was black. Is this tube stuff too? It hurts like **** too. Like burning.

I sometimes cough up grey-black phelgm if I've been out and about a lot and have inhaled a lot of ****.

But if it looks more like coffee-grounds then it could be blood.

Either way, sounds like it might be time for some antibiotics.

I've never coughed up black though, only brown.

If your chest and everything is burning though, you should probably go to the doctor.
