So the UK is supposed to be swamped by people suffering swine flu, panic in the streets etc. But has anyone here actually had swine flu? I live in London and know precisely ONE person who had it (and their kids). And yet nothing but graces the paper, with lots of worst case scenario stories. So I am curious if anyone here has had a confirmed case?

i haven't had it but i know at least 5 people who have.

I know one person who's had it, and one of my housemate's families all had it a few weeks ago (mum, dad, brother). They only told him on the weekend just before he came home, because they thought he'd freak out.

I haven't heard of anyone I know having it. So far I haven't been concerned too much at all (except maybe for that first week back in April when they made it sound like anyone who got it would likely die). But now I'm thinking that by the winter it will be something more deadly. I think they mentioned something in the news about it leaving lesions on your lungs - which the regular flu doesn't.
