Dr. Bronner's pure castile soap

i read in one issue of Oprah's magazine that this soap is amazing, so tonight i bought it in the citrus scent. i read that it's great as a shampoo. i'm about to try it. apparently it has many other uses too.

the bottle says to dilute it. but on one of the sites you can purchase it on, it didn't say to dilute it for shampoo purposes. so i won't. but i have thick, short, straight hair. we'll see how it goes. i'm making myself the guinea pig for tonight....

has anyone else used this stuff??? hopefully there will be a couple helpful replies before i head to the shower. it's biodegradable, made with hemp, organic.... pretty much, it's as hippie approved as they get.

I haven't used this stuff myself. But, we sell it where I work (Trader Joe's) and lots of people swear by it. Apparently the solid bar soap is also really good.

I keep meaning to try it. Perhaps now I will. Be sure to update the thread once you've used it

ok....so i got my hair wet, and used a few drops of the soap instead of shampoo. it lathered really well for a minute. but then the lather feeling disappeared and my hair started feeling dry. maybe i'm doing something wrong by not diluting it?

i used my regular moisturizing shampoo and conditioner though and my hair turned out clean and stuff. it felt a lot cleaner than usual.

a friend of mine used the soap today for a body wash and says it made his skin feel dry. so what exactly does one do for mixing this soap or diluting it? i read the directions, but surely there's a better way than 2 gallons of water.

i always had greasy skin and hair when i used it as well as i lived in a very hot humid climate so this stuff was perfect. i dont think i could use it here in PA where its dry.
