have you had kids? i think they are more recommended for people who have given birth already
i know TONS of people who have them. i only don't have one yet because i'm so freaked out about getting inserted. anything touching my cervix makes me queasy
the paraguard usually gives people heavier periods. the mirena gives lighter periods and sometimes they disappear altogether. the mirena gives spotting for several months before you settle into it though.
i dont think they usually fall out.
i do know someone who had a miscarriage with the foetus formed around the iud. i also read online someone who got pregnant with an iud in place. i think it is really really rare though. if you do get pregant they decide whether to remove it or continue the pregnancy wiht it in place. you have a high chance of miscarriage either way i think.
i would like to get the mirena. as long as i can get over the quease.
