Has anyone quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey?

Basically, I need and want to quit smoking. It's too expensive and is shit as fuck for my health, obviously.
I've gone from buying packets of 50, to 30, to 20. Now I want to buy 0 packets.
I want success stories of quitting smoking, and how you did it.

I just stopped doing it. Can't explain it any other way...

I smoked a couple of joints when I was out on the boat... or a couple when I was drunk but apart from that I don't even want one it tastes foul now.

i just stopped. occasionally have one when drunk, or just a pull on one

I stopped for like three years, didn't have a problem. Started up again though. I actualy enjoy smoking.

Yes. That's what I need to hear. I'm just going to stop too. I was spending $9 or so a day on smokes. That's $63 a week. Can't afford that. I could buy CDs or something with that money.
