So I went to the doctors and got myself some Yasmin.
I refuse to suffer the agony of hellish periods any longer so hoepfully this will do the trick.
I'm also hoping the positive reviews I've heard about will apply to me also like the reducing of bloating, weight loss and clear skin parts!
After a couple of months on it, I'll post my thoughts.

UPDATE
So I've been on Yasmin for a week now and have decided to stop taking it because of severe bloating, which is very unexpected as it was supposed to reduce these symptoms.
On the plus side, my skin is literally glowing, my hair is more shiny and it has curbed my appetite also, but the bloating is so bad I feel heavier.
I know it's only been a week and it will probably go away in time, but I'm not prepared to ride the storm as I have parties and gigs to go to where I want to feel my best.

Weird. Go back and get Marvelon. It has similar effects to yasmin (save its not supposed to be a diuretic), so much so that testing it against yasmin resulted in yasmin having to withdraw its "the weight loss pill" claim because people lost no more than on marvelon, and its better at protecting against pregnancies in an randomised control trial.

I would have stuck with Yasmin for more than a week though, surely being a bit bloated for a couple of weeks is better than hellish periods and risking pregnancy?

Go to your doctor again and tell him the simptoms you're having. He'll know what pills to give you.
I've been on Marvelon for a couple of years now and I've been fine. No problems at all. I suppose I was lucky.

i've tried a few different brands of the combined pill (eugynon, microgynon, yasmin and marvelon) and all have left me with a really low libido and weird discharge (have gone through every test possible to try and determine why this is...no stds/yeast or bacterial infection, cervix healthy). i'm just starting cerazette to see if this will help...but i'm reading terrifying testimonials on the internet about bleeding for 3 months and hair loss. now i'm scared
