Should be: Our Aloe is here to soothe your skin, when you're burnt like toast.
I’m more or less working on the look of the catalog. and placement of the writings. i cut and past what the owner emails me.

If you see anything else. Please comment on it. It'll help a lot. thank you.

On the first page: Bath (bombs) should have a capital B.

I like your set up and everything though. Very colourful and cute!

This is a personal preference but I don't like to sight of broken (how do you even call that in english?) words like pro-ducts. It looks unprofessional and you can turn it off in photoshop (which I assume you're working with) easily.

I like the style but I would suggest using fewer and softer colours for a classier look. Over all I think you're using too many different elements (fonts, colours, backgrounds and decoration) for your work to look really breathtaking.

Are you a professional graphic designer?

No I’m not a pro. Designer when it comes to catalogs and what not. I do fashion. My friend has a great little shop that’s getting bigger and she wants a fun new look. So I’m putting together for her. I’m doing a catalog, t-shirts, magnates, postcards, est.… and that’s why I put it up so I can get advice on changes I should make. Likes and dislikes from every one. And the English help is great.

English is not my first language and I am horrible a grammar and spelling. that’s a big help.

Here are the magnets. Advice and criticism is welcome.

I think you've got a really nice vibe going but all in all it doesn't seem very professional. There are too many styles going on at once:

1. Messy (the make-up smudges)
2. Punk D-I-Y (the typewriter font and paper backgrounds)
3. Vector cleanliness (the drawings on the magnets)
4. Classy (the font used in the list of scents and the general colour scheme of the catalog)
5. Girly/Childish (the colour scheme on the magnets)

Add to this that you use low resolution backgrounds, overused/cheap Photoshop effects and no consistent and restricted colour scheme and it's a bit of a mess really.

Any company should have a corporate style that's consistent throughout everything they produce (labels, stationary, business cards, promotional material, catalogs etc.) or else you won't be taken seriously by your customers.

The magnets are a bit off putting because of their content. I don't think it's smart to stress the negative features/feelings of your customers so much. The = isn't the prettiest of symbols either. It puts the composition off balance.

I would suggest that you rethink the whole thing, starting with a written business mission and the image your friend would like to convey. Than pick one decorative font (looks like she already has one as her logo) and one that is easy to read, design a colour palette that will be used on anything from now on, pick a single style from the ones you've been using and you should be fine.

(Or alternatively let me have a go... It's sounds like a fun project and I would help for free if I could put the results up in my portfolio. But just ignore the offer if you think it's rude/mean/totally inappropriate.)

Before I forget, there are some strong points in your designs as well. The pastel colours are a great choice. They totally convey an image of luxury pampering. I also like the make-up smears very much and the general page layouts are good too.

Good luck!
