ok, first off dont tell me to go to a doctor because i dont have insurance.

my trhoat has been killing me the last 2 days, and this morning i hacked up bloody phlem . whenever i swallow i get a sharp pains and it shoots up to me ears, as if the pain is going to physically shoot out of my ears.

i have to work tonight and i have school in the a.m. so i need something FAST. i have drops and severe cold medicine (also, ive had this stupid cold for a month now!) but they can only do so much.

i would suggest some hot tea. take a lot of vitamin c.

I'm not suggesting a remedy but based on how nasty that throat thing sounds I'd take a leaf out of kesh's book and go to your nearest free sexual health clinic and if when they ask how you are, go into detail about your sore throat. They will invariably do a swab to determine if it's viral or bacterial in origin and you might be able to wheedle antibiotics out if it. If it's been over a month and over the counter stuff isn't doing the trick, you really need someone professional to look at it.

what champers said. and worse case for going to a not free doc is they bill you.

you could try mint tea tho. mint is supposed to have aniseptic properties to it, make sure you get it to the back of your throat.
