What are your most cringe worthy beauty horror stories?
I'll kick things off!
15 years old with dark brown hair I decide to go to a cheap salon and get my entire head dipped in bleach which needless to say, looked god awful and burnt half my scalp off.
I turned out neon luminous orange and pink underneath where the stylist hadn't washed a previous colour off her gloves.
I cried my little heart out for months while it grew out and tried in vain to patch roots up with sallys DIY tubs of bleach which only added to the nightmare.

19 by now my hair was white having learnt the art of toner and good colourists, however I decided to get glue in extensions. The stylist was a nice person but applied the bonds too tightly and really badly so that it hurt like hell when I removed them they took half my hair out and I was left with a mullet that only clip in extensions could cover.

Lastly I'd like to take a moment to reflect upon the tragedy of my passport taken in my early teens where I am wearing pat butcher style pale blue eyeshadow and enough eyeliner to rival a chola without the sharpie eyebrows. I looked like a gothic badger in the ghetto. Oh lord and that also reminds me of the time I tied green and pink wool in my hair at 14 to look more 'heartbreak high' alternative.

It has just dawned on me that for the majority of my life I have looked shockingly bad. Thank god for growing up, GHD'S and Kat Von D for making it possible to look a bit different but feminine at the same time.

I was pretty close to getting bleach in my eye one time, it was just all in my eye lashes though so I carefully removed it.

Dyed my hair purple blue once, and after the second wash it faded to grey. I looked like a ****ing grandma, so I dyed it back blonde the next day.

The time I told my hair dresser to cut my hair to my shoulders, and the ***** cut it to my ears. That's the only time I have cried over my hair.
