I did some kid-watching this month, and my nephew (he's 3) has been pretty sick off and on (flu season here)...so I probably have just recaught it.

i don't think it's too unusual. i have had a flu, then a cold, then mild bronchitis within the space of three months which is really unusual for me because i usually only get sick about twice a year, but i guess it can happen to anyone.

Depends whether you mean you have full on influenza or whether you mean by flu "really bad cold". Cause influenza twice in one month- pretty rare and unlucky, having two really bad colds in a month- very possible particularly if you are exposed to students or small children.
