I hate it.

I'm pretty hairy, I have naturally dark hair and pale skin so its quite obvious. Weirdly my arms are pretty much bald, but my I get it all over my legs and up my stomach pretty much without a gap. Like its not bikini line as in "I want to look like a super neat little porn star for my boyfriend" its like bikini line "so kids don't run screaming in the swimming pool".

I get it on my face as well, on my chin which is the most deeply unsexy feeling thing ever.
I half want to go and see if its a hormonal thing, because it all was pretty sudden a year or so ago.

But the thing that ****es me off most is that I've never found a decent method of removal, because I've got sensitive skin. Wax just leaves the hair but makes my skin bleed, I can't really use anything with perfumes, and shaving always leads to a rash no matter now much or how little I exfoliate.

I'm considering getting one of them things that pulls the hair out, god I can't remember what its called...

However, I do see the point that actually, why should smooth legs be feminine? Every woman has body hair so it is obviously a female trait. These days men have such a vivid picture in their mind of the 'perfect woman' that I am constantly trying to be a traditional feminie girl, to match the stereotypical description. Not just because i want my boyfriend to find me sexy (he probably wouldn't care if now and then i didn't shave) but to even fit in with other females. I actually believe that it's other females who are more concerned about the image of the majority of woman.

My boyfriend prefers down below to be bald or have a landing strip. I have a landing strip. I feel unsexy without one; it looks too child like and un-natural to be completely bald. I wish so much that he didn't like it shaven.... i go through a lot of soreness for the sake of his desires.

Under arm hair disturbs me. I don't know why. It's pubic hair that people can see and judge. I always shave under my arms. Alwaysalwaysalways.
I see what you mean about being judged by other women, but I think men would still comment if you went outside and obviously had hairy legs/armpits. More openly than women. But worthwhile boyfriends care much less. It's a shame yours semi-forces you to conform to his 'ideal woman' image. Must be rubbish to feel constantly itchy and get ingrown hairs for someone else's sake. I don't mean to sound like I'm patronising you, I know how difficult the compulsion is to escape, but still, what exactly would happen if you didn't shave? I'm sure he'd get over it. 'Landing strip' is such a horrible phrase! All the connotations of passive/active male/female plus the general wtf-ness of shaving your pubes into a neat little line.

I don't know if this even sounds more disturbing to me than shaving because you have a boyfriend? A kind of Foucauldian self-policing to keep within the female body norm, that goes on even when no-one's watching.

Im sorry. I have hair over my face but its blonde and fine. I am so fixated over it. Im pretty hairy more then most girls..sometimes the doctor can give you the pill which helps prevent more hair growth? or is that a myth?
