has anyone had this done or know of someone who has had it?

Was it successful?
any scars?
did the hair grow back?

Im booking myself in to have some done but Im a bit concerned about whether it will work etc.

My mom and I both get it done. She has almost finished her sessions for her face and neck, and is getting the fine hairs off of her chest removed now.

I get my face and underarms done. The pain is similar to you taking a match, lighting it and putting it out on your skin. Well at least that's what it felt like for me on my underarms. The face doesnt hurt as bad.

It really depends on where you get it done. I've only done one session, so apparently the pain will minimize session after session.

They used a little machine that blew air out of it while they did this to help ease the pain.


It's really quick and the aftermath wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't smell like burnt hair, and it wasn't too sore, or red, anything really.

No scars. And since I'm only on session 1 of maybe 5-6 it's not all gone. I can tell though that the hairs are taking allot longer to grow back.

How much is a session costing you?

I was thinking of getting it done but it was really expensive just for a tiny area - and apparantly you need about 6 sessions for it to work.

I think I'm gonna stick with waxing..

I got it done a while back. If you expect it to totally get rid of the hair permanently you might be disappointed. It is not guaranteed permanent. My hair did grow back even after five sessions, but it grows back a lot slower and finer, so I have to wax less often. For some people you just can't permanently get rid of hair.

The pain is similar to getting a tattoo. It's really no big deal.
