| | | I have stye It's horrible.
I got cream from the doctor and i went to put it on with a q-tip and then noticed I could easily remove it instead of waiting for it to drain by itself... So I basically popped it and the white head was gone and the swelling where it was at the edge of my eyelid is almost gone but now my eyelid itself is still pretty swollen and this damn nerve keeps in twitching!
Any suggestions as to what to do? Warm cloth on it or sth? |

| | | Warm cloth is probably your best shout, now that you popped it.
I remember people always said to me that rubbing something gold on it would work. I can't see why though. In any case, you've burst it now so I guess it just needs to heal.

| | Be really careful if you rub it at all. Obviously try not to, but if you touch your eye, and then your other at some point...you could spread it to the other eye.
Happened to me in 8th grade and I missed two weeks of school.
It had swollen both of my eyes shut. |

| | the swelling was even worse this morning so I went to th doc again and I need to go on antibiotics because of the infection.
this is horrible. I keep on getting infections...it's weird. I had this nose infection recently. and had to take the exact same antibiotics I have to take now and they made me ridiculously nauseous and gave me a yeast infection.....ugh.
stupid eye. |

| | aaaaaah. fucking shit. it's day 3 and my eye is still swollen! I'm always hoping when I get up in the morning that it'll be gone. My eye is also watering.
the pain is less. the swelling is better than yesterday but it's still there and it sucks.

If you have tried the cream the DR gave you and you have tried warm compress and popping it didn't work, your best bet is to just suck it up and wait until it goes away on its own. I know, it's horrible to have, but sometimes you have to just deal with it. |

| | it's pretty much gone now. thank god.
it was really embarassing... (I'm easily embarrassed). It's just stupid and kinda gross walking around with a swollen eye. + my eye nerve was constantly twitching which made it look like I was winking at everyone. |
