| | | shampoo gives me zits/pimples/spots??? Is that possible? I have the suspicion that whenever I use shampoos which contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate, I get zits/pimples on my back and forehead. Has anyone else experienced this before? |

| | Nope. But a lot of shampoos (like Toni & Guy's ) make my scalp itch like crazy. They're made of chemicals, innit, not buttercups and rosehips, it's not suprising that they bring people out in nasty reactions. Why don't you try a more natural shampoo...like from the health food shop or Lush (I don't know if they have stores in Deutschland, but you'll be able to buy online and have it posted over).
As for the spots, Clinique Anti-Blemish solutions do a soap and a spray for spots on your body. I've never used either, but I do their three-step facial cleanse/tone/moisturise and it's really, really good - worth every penny and mild enough even for skin as mad-sensitive as mine. |

| | | Well, I'm currently using organic shampoo which doesn't contain sodium laureth sulfate (it's similar to Dr. Hauschka's shampoos), but it's getting a little boring, if you know what I mean - I desperately wanna try something new! |

| | | I have never heard of shampoos causing blemishes but I've heard of conditioners causing them. I think you can buy hair products without sulfites from higher priced salon brands. I'd never get hair products from the health food store.. I don't think their beauty products are very good. |

| | | Ive had a year of bad spots on my back. It was caused either by drinking too much coke, having a back massage and having a reaction to the oils or the shampoo/conditioner. I think it could be linked. if so change it? or make sure you wash you hair seperate from body ..you know like wash hair and then tie it up in shower and wash your back etc?

| | | Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulphate is evil! I'd recommend baby shampoo or Lush's shampoo bars. They're not as strong as normal shampoos, and so don't strip all the natural coatings of your hair off like acid. The shampoo bars last forever - I thought it was exaggerated on the ads instore, but they last for months on end.
I don't get spots from normal shampoo, but I do have problems with dry skin on my forehead when I use a lot of normal shampoos. |

| | | There are ingredients in shampoo that can cause break outs. I am not sure which ones they are, but I think people react to each one differently and some break out.
You should change your shampoo, perhaps to something light or organic like people on here have been recommending.
Just keep trying out new shampoo's and see which works. I read that shampoos rich in zinc are good for preventing acne. |

| | I have to wash my hair separately, put it up and then have a shower/bath. Tigi gives me a dry scalp. I love the bodfy shop shampoo and conditioner range, you can request samples from them and they'll give you a little tub of each.
My skin's very sensitive. Sanex shower gel is good if you're getting break-out on your back because it's not fussy, it's just clean. Also don't use anything containing minerals as they can block pores. I've just given away 4 bottles of Radox that my mother-in-law insists giving us
I used some lush shampoo/conditioner and it made me feel filmy. I love their jelly shower gel but not the hair stuff. |
