| | | As soon as you get by three days your golden. Think how close you are.
And think of the benefits of not smoking.
I knew a guy with a tumor from smoking, it was in his mouth, he looked like a whale. Couldn't even talk. The second half of his head was like a balloon. He died from it.
I knew a neck breather. His voice was WATERY. EWW. It was literally raspy and sounded like mucus everywhere. It was horrible. You don't want that!
A family friend has a tumor wrapped around her heart now. It's not looking good, the doctor said it's probably from smoking, and she is basically not going to get through this and it's horrible.
You can do ittttt, try as hard as you can. |

| | OH MY GOD
I hate when these awful AWFUL stories about cigarette smoking are posted and make me afraid and disgusted
I only smoke when I feel really overwhelmed, it really just magically makes all the frustration go away
If I quit I won't have anything to calm me down |

| | | I emlore you to try out some self-hypnosis tapes. Within three days I was no longer wanting a cigarette (it takes 3 days for the physical withdrawl symptoms to go away). I have been smoke free for just short of 3 months now!
Also, get rid of the patches......you're just prolonging your physical withdrawl from nicotine. Cold turkey or bust! |

I'm a smoker, but my suggestion to you is to keep busy yet relaxed. I know that helps me when I'm really wanted one but for whatever reason can't. You could listen to some music and sing along to take your mind off it, or have a little sleep sleep.

| | | I imagine giving up smoking to be much like breaking up with someone. First 48 hours are a bitch. Go for a run or something. First you will sweat out the toxins and secondly you will get an endorphin high and finally, you will probably be in so much pain afterwards from the super long run that you will be distracted from the smoking craving. |

| | | Yeah try to find things to distract you from wanting one. Don't give in if you truly want to quit. I quit because I am pregnant, but OMG I would even have dreams about it that's how bad I wanted one. It was really hard not to smoke one, but I remembered that I am pregnant and I did what was best for me and the baby and that was to stop.
Since you are not pregnant, and you really want to quit...do what you know is best for you.
Since I quit I have been able to breathe better and my allergies aren't as bad. I no longer have the desire to smoke and it's been like a month.
Give it a few days and you will see that your desire will start to decrease. |

| | | Are you around a lot of smokers? It's incredibly difficult when there are people around you smoking all the time. You can do it though. If you have not smoked for two months you can do it! |

| | | No....no smokers around....I imagine it has something to do with the SAD thing.....or maybe because I just got my license. Boy, would it be nice to drive and smoke at the same time? I'd say it would be....
Anyway, my will-power is good, and I'm going to listen to my self-hypnosis tape before bed this evening. Thanks for the cheerleading... |
