| | make-up and ways to stop yourself from looking tired. right here is my rant:
basically I try and put a lot of effort into my appearance. I will wash hair and straighten it. I wash my skin and moisturise and then I will do make-up. I dont always wear foundation but when I go out I do. I wear black eyeliner and try not to be too goth about it. I look in the mirror and although Im not a barbie I think I look ok. Then to work. I get to work and someone will say 'you look tired' or'you look knackered.' but the worst is being asked 'have you just finished a night duty?' when I am just starting an early. Yesterday someone said I looked 'knackerd' and then asked whether i was starting an early shift or late. I said late and she was like 'looking knackered isnt good for a start of a shift.'
now I am really starting to get annoyed with this because I put effort in but its not showing? how can I stop looking knackered without the help of plastic surgery or botox ?

| | Your co-workers sound incredibly rude? Or is that just the jargon where you work?
Anyways....
-Make sure you wear a mascara that doesn't dry up & crumble, because then it'll settle below your eyes and make it look like you have dark circles
-Avoid pink or reddish eyeshadows when you're tired
-Use a light-reflecting under-eye concealer (such as dior skinflash, loreal touche magique, etc., every brand offers one of those now). Make sure to use an eyecream first so the concealer will be easy to apply
-Wear some kind of blush or light bronzer to add some colour to your face
-Ditch the eyeliner if that's what makes you look tired
Hope that helps.  |

| | Also, if you can get your hands on some white eyeliner. You put it on your lower rims along with a light coat of mascara on your lower (and upper but thats a different story) lashes and its quite the magic act. I want to tell you that I didn't learn that trick from Tyra Banks but I'd by lying. |

| | thank you guys!
Im glad Im not the only person who thinks that they are rude! I do work shifts so If I work until 9.15pm in the evening I may have to get up for a 7am shift the next morning so I wouldnt look good! so my sleep pattern is always rubbish. I am startign to lose my patience with it tho and I think I may flip the next time someone says it to me.
The pink shadows- I do wear pink eye shadow anyway. I am at a stage of trying for a different colour with black liner. Im not too confident and blues etc dont look that cool on me. but thank you

| | | A little black liner is fine. I've never known it to make me look tired. Wack some highlighter on the inner corners of your eye and wear blush! I found that helps. I always look pale and probably a little dead if i dont.
Oh and avoid the green colour corrector (if you have it yet) i used to use it and if you dont blend it really really well it'll make you look really ill!!
umm, if that all fails, a weenie little bronzer can help...but only a smallest amount. xx

Bronzer maybe but I am really pale so Im not sure whetehr it will be cool but I will try your tips...thank you

| | | not sure if anyone else suggested this already
but i saw some pics of older models wearing frosty white around the inner parts of the eye area both on top and bottom and the point where it meets in the middle near the top of your nose and i tried it and it does really help to brighten the area up and make you look less tired

| | - Drink lots;
- Invest in a good eye-contour cream;
- Wear a rosy kind of blush;
- Wear a touch of highlighter or shimmery golden eyeshadow on the part where your eyelids meet;
- If you like it, wear a little shimmer powder on your eyelids and at the outer corner of your eyes. I do this when I look really awful in the morning and it helps loads;
- Wear white eyeliner on your bottom eyelid;
- Avoid dark lipsticks.

| | Were you the person who made a thread before about your workmates being dickish about you dressing in black a lot?
If so, tbh, it sounds like their problem, not yours. As long as you're feeling fine and you feel able to get the work done, that's all that matters.
Honestly though, it sounds like these cunts will look for anything to criticise you about. If I were you, I'd try not to sweat it (the "looking tired" thing), and next time anyone makes the remark, just firmly let them know you feel absolutely fine.
But yeah, I suppose you could try to wear different make up. But then what's the next thing they're going to start going on about?
All of this is assuming I've got the right person here, mind.

- Alors, pourquoi l'as-tu pris?
- Parce que je ne pensais pas qu'il pleuvrait. |

One time I spoke to a work colleague and told them that 'this is me and you will have to accept it because I am not going to change my look for anyone but myself.'
thanks for people's advice on here.

| | | try your hair wavy or curly with body and i'm thinking that would perk your face up. i don't know how your eyebrows are shaped, but cleaning them up with some arch definition can help tremendously.
or just carry on and tell the rudes to fuck off.
