will probably go to the optometrist in the next month or so. | My glasses have been slightly bung for the past five or so years. Damn it. I'm always pushing them back up my nose. Annoyance. I ought to get a new pair some time soon, half the time I just use my mate's old pair that he lent me, as they sit more securely on my face, and are a vaguely similar prescription.
I want contacts too, for sport/concert/wearing in the rain purposes.

I bring my glasses in my handbag though if I'm travelling, so I can put them on when I need to see those info screens at the airport/trainstation
My glasses fall off my face too.. because I once threw them in a fit of rage ( *shame*) so they aren't as secure on my face and I'm too darn lazy to get them fixed heh.
I'm definately gonna find out about contacts when I go to the opticians next. I've wanted them for ages but you know.. the laziness thing again |

| | ok, so my mum made an appointment for me for the 25th march and the receptionist said contacts are 'expensive'.
so i think everyone's gonna try and talk me into getting glasses again. i guess i'll just say if i stop buying goon and tanqueray, i'll be able to pay for contacts.

| | | I can't wear contacts as they get calcium deposits super fast and were wrecking my eyes.
They said I could probably get 1 or 2 day but that seems goofy because I really only need my glasses for distance. |

the only thing about contacts is that you'll probably still need a pair of glasses since you can't have the contacts on 24/7. you could keep your old pair. i still have glasses from 6 years ago that i wear only at home so it doesn't matter that they're shit ugly.
i hope you get your contacts. they are so much more convenient than glasses! |

My optometrist said that I really should start wearing my glasses all the time (not just when driving), but I really don't want to. It's not vanity or anything like that, I just hate the feeling of something sitting on my face.
As for laser eye surgery, aside from the $$, he said that I should really wait until I'm in my late 40's to have it as that's when I'll need reading glasses (I'm 32 now, so I'm pissed off that I have to start wearing glasses for the next 15 years! ) | i've been wearing mine since i ws 8, i hate them and that's why i tend to wear contacts as much as possible. funny, today i am at work and wearing my glasses, something i rarely do.
i'd do laser surgery if i could afford it...in a second!
i thought you were much younger for some reason...i didn't realize we were so close in age.
