I have been on the pill (various brands) for the last six and a half years. As you can see in another thread, I am having problems with breakthrough bleeding and apparently taking a month break from the pill can help. Now would be a good time because I am single. However I have an important exam next month and I am slightly concerned that if I come off the pill I will turn into some sort of hormonal psycho. Its been so long since I was off the pill (I started when I was 16) that I don't really know what I was like off it, apart from I had terrible periods and anaemia. Has anyone else come off the pill after ages on it- what happened?

when i came off the pill irelised it was the pill its self that made me a phycho cutting mental case
everything was just peachy and i was happy all the time and didnt burst into screaming and crying fits over nothing.
but since then i have put on alot of weight and havent really had any periods..but i think thats because of polysistic overies

well, i think i am a hormonal psycho all the time, so... that didn't change even when i was on the pill... the only thing that happened to me after coming off the pill was - acne. worst i've ever had.

you have polycystic ovaries? (i dont know how to spell it either?)

what did your doctor say about it? is it a big deal? what happens to you?

Yeah, I am a little worried about that happening. I have always had slightly spotty skin and being on the pill didn't change that, but I am scared if I come off it, my face will become some horrendous zit fest. I really don't want to come off it for long, my life on it is so much better!
