| | | nose jobs I could only find one thread about them so I just wanted to make a new one dedicated entirely to rhinoplasty.
Anyone had one? How do you feel about it? Was it painful? How much did it cost?
I might get one in the future when I have the money for it... I'm not sure yet though... I'm afraid of how much it can change your face... What if I don't recognize myself any more? And maybe my regular nose adds character to my face? or maybe it's just plain ugly and I'd look way better with a nosejob?
the thing is my nose isn't my natural nose. It has a bump, which isn't there naturally but is there because I got hit in the nose with something heavy and never got it treated...
I also have breathing problems. I'm gonna have that checked out and if they say I could benefit from operation I might get a nose job while they're fixing the breathing problems... two birds with one stone and all of that...
this guy does good work: (huge before and after gallery; pretty neat) Photos: Rhinoplasty Before After Pictures |

| | | i have a bump on my nose too. sometimes i hate it but i would never get a nose job because i am too scared of pain hahaha
it definitely adds character though! often nose job noses are soo boring, so if you get it, make sure they don't change anything else but the bump!

| | | I would get one if it didn't cost so much and if there weren't risks involved and if I could change it back if I didn't like it (so probably not lol). I hate the bump on my nose but I don't think I hate it enough to get a nose job. |

| | | the thing is though.... the bump doesn't bother me that much I think...
It's really difficult to explain and I'm probably obsessive over this... i recently found out that nobody in my entire family realized I had a bump on my nose and they've known me my whole life!
It's just that when I smile, and this is actually only in pictures, my nose doesn't look symmetrical and it's ugly. I also feel like my bridge isn't defined enough and neither is my tip... But yea, when I look in the mirror it doesn't always seem that bad....but in certain angles it does.
it really is hard to explain. But I don't think just taking the bump away would make me happy. I'd want the whole thing reconstructed (not excessively though! i don't want to look like MJ) |

| | | I really love my face but my nose gets to me. If ever I have the kind of money to drop on rhinoplasty, I would in a heartbeat.

Has anyone here had one? In the UK? I'm seriously considering it too but I'm scared of dying or ending up with a Michael Jackson nose. I don't know if UK surgeons are really behind the American ones and they give you really obvious nose job looks? |

| | | Those gallery shots are depressing: A lot of the people in those pics had nothing really wrong with their noses, just a rounded-out bridge. The straight-bridge versions look "fixed" and kind of creepy. |

| | I had a deviated septum I got from this guy. I was able to get it done for free by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) because I said it was compromising my breathing. It's not as straight as it was before it was busted, but looks a whole lot better. The recovery was painful only for about three days. It's not as straight as it was before, but it's a whole lot better.
If it's something you feel will improve your life, I don't see anything wrong with it. Just don't end up like Courtney |

| | | My nose was broken when I was 12 and I never got it fixed. I don't have a bump on it, because it was broken near the end, so it's just got a tiny dent in it and is more prominent than it was.
As much as I got picked on for it, and used to hate it, I sort of like it now. I don't think I'd get a nose job unless it was broken again. I think I'm just scared I'll want more and more plastic surgery if I get any.

| | | well...I'm going through another nose-job obsessed period....
I'm really really hating it. It's soooooo ugly. I just deleted shitloads of pictures from my computer because my nose looked ugly.... I'll probably regret it later....they're still in my recycle bin though.
If I had the guts I'd post one of them but I can't handle the truth.... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | |
