I have these slight brown patches on my face and arms/legs which I found are a commin side effect of pill Im on (microgynon 30) also common in pregnancy. Their not that noticable but its driving me nuts now. Anyone else have this? Their supposed to fade over time, but know any ways of getting rid of them quicker? gah.

tri-luma is a good product for melasma. it's quite expensive, yet worth it.

The first summer I was on the pill, I got sunburnt in a couple of patches, and they turned this really weird shade of dirty brown (that I think now was melasma). One of them was round my ankle and it looked like I had been wading in poo, especially since I am literally the palest person in the world (I'm ginger). They took about three months to fade and I never had the problem again even though I was on that pill (Dianette) for another four years.... So waiting is probably just the best thing.

Ive been abit concerned about the same kind of thing lately, i had a really small darker pigment patch just under my boob and over the past 4 months or something its spread alot and its now covering the under and around my boob and spread onto the other one also. I am on the pill but seeing as its only around my boobs i think im going to go get it checked at the doctor- just incase.

my mom has been on the pill for like 30+ years and has these ALL OVER her body.

it's why i'm not on the pill anymore, and never will be again.
