| | | Swollen lymph gland I think my right lymph gland is swollen. It's like right under my jaw bone and under my ear? That's a lymph gland right?
It's not visibly swollen yet but when I touch it I can feel this bump inside and it hurts.
Oh my God; I'm really terrified of getting cancer or some other really bad disease! I'm not kidding. I'm really scared.
I'm gonna go to the doctor tomorrow but does anyone know what it could be? |

| | | Basically, if a lymph gland swells up and it hurts, that means you have an infection of some sort and it is a natural body reaction. What you have to worry about is glands that stay swollen for more than 5 weeks and that DON'T hurt. Which is why I'm shitting bricks since mine don't hurt and have been swollen for 10 months. It's all about the biopsy for me... |

Check out the picture and see if it links up with where you think it is: http://www.orthop.washington.edu/_Ra...5a7a75ec05.gif |

| | | swollen glands are common. a cold or anything can make them bigger. i have a few that have stayed swollen for over 5 years (neck, behind ear, in the jaw). |

I don't really feel like I have a cold, my throat doesn't hurt either.
The bumps seems to actually be a little smaller today. I'm gonna wait a couple days and if it's still there I'll see the doctor.
I'm just really terrified of getting a terrible disease so I always freak out when I find bumps... |
