hey everyone,
I just got my tongue pierced today! Is feeling very odd still!
just wondering if anyone has any good advice/tips about making it easier for myself.
Got a load of soups and yogurts already.
am cleaning it with no-alcohol mouthwash.
Just feel like im holding my mouth weirdly and making my mouth ache but dont know how to stop doing that! |

| | | if your tongue is still swollen just keep a bit of ice in your mouth , and continue rinsing your mouth . it should be completely nornmal in about 2 to 3 days . i was so frustrated w my tongue ring at first , i was ready to take it out ! thankfully i didnt |

| | | i always found with my oral piercings, apart from cleaning them twice a day i never had to do anyhting else with them, they just sorted themselves out.
i also found that i would talk funny for a few days and was really aware of my new piercings, but once the swelling goes down it will be fine

| | i hated mine for the first four days, i couldn't talk properly and it was so swollen that i had imprints from my teeth on the sides.it was so painful i couldn't even have soup, i had to drink it through a straw.
try not to talk too much, and dont use mouthwash too much or your tongue goes a weird colour  |

| | | you'll get used to the feel of it in your mouth in your own time. it took me a few days, i think. this was 7 years ago now so it's hard to remember. and yeah, i talked with a lisp for a while.
just keep using the mouthwash, and make sure you swap your stud over for a smaller one when the swelling goes down.
i kind of wish i didn't take my piercing out now.

and yeah i think i may be doing mouthwash too much as my tongues going funny colour.
