| | | Morning (afternoon , evening, night) sickness, advice? I'm 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and 100% run down with morning sickness. I feel sick from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep - I cant stomach going into work so I've called in sick. My diet consists of muller lights and cream crackers with lucozade or water.
I just dont know what to do with myself. This is killing me.
I've seen my doctor and he told me there was nothing really that can be done to combat morning sickness but i find this hard to beleive. there must be somethign that can help?
Has anyone here suffered with morning sickness and how did you cope? |

| | I've thankfully never been up the duff (but congratulations on it!) Apparently the worse the morning sickness is, the better implanted the baby is (ie you are less likely to miscarriage). So atleast that is a slight bonus eh? I think there if its really awful it counts as a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum- there is a support group at Blooming Awful - the UK Hyperemesis Gravidarum Awareness Group

| | | Relief for morning sickness Hi Larna,
Like yourself I had severe morning sickness....sometimes for the whole day when I was 2 months pregnant. Then I discovered Mommy's Bliss Morning Sickness Magic...and it worked wonders. Within a day of taking it my nausea disappeared!
You can find this wonderful natural product at Baby, diaper rash, morning sickness, heartburn, acid reflux - it's available online, or use their store locator to find it at a store in your neighborhood.
Good luck,
Pat |

| | Congrats I had bad morning sickness with my middle son, all the way through the pregnancy. I found the only thing that helped was wearing the accupressure travel sickness bands on my wrists and sometimes ginger biscuits. |

| | | Darling, I hear you. We're basically at the same time in our pregnancies. My morning sickness has been good for the last few days, it just sort of let up a fair bit. But at first it was shockingly bad. I couldn't eat anything because it would come straight back up, I just slept to try and stop feeling sick. I tried Blackmores Travel calm tablets initially. They're made of ginger, so they're natural even if they taste like shit. But they did help abit. It didn't clear it up completely but it was a little better. |

| | | DON"T take your prenatal vitamins in the morning. Take them before you go to bed. This helped me a lot. I was still sick all the time. crackers ginger ale maybe buy some fresh ginger and cut a TINY piece off and suck on it.Not too big of a piece because it ginger is hot. Hard candy seemed to help me. Not gettting overheated so i really didn't go anywhere cause i would get overheated fast from walking. All my grocery shopping would have to be done at night.
Keep a rag and some water with you . A wet cool rag will go a long way when you are pregnant. I would wet it and put it aroudn my neck when igot overheated. It's ridiculous how really shitty you feel.
Morning sickness usually go away after the first trimester. This is bullshit cause i was still sick half way into my 2nd trimester.
Throwing up will become no big deal to you cause it is going to happen.
I have puked so violentlythat i pissed myself while i was throwing up. It's pathetic.
Keep some paper bags in your car or in a purse just in case you don't make it to the bathroom | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
