| | | johnson's holiday skin i am having problems with this.
i've noticed that no matter what i do it seems to be going a bit streaky. not a LOT, but it's noticable i think. i've exfoliated first, and put moisturising lotion on beforehand, still streaks.
any tips? |

| | | I use the Jergens Natural Glow thing. It's all pretty much the same stuff though.
I also noticed some streaking. and today I noticed my feet are really white. It's really hard to get a natural "fake tan".
I think I'm just gonna wait until I can be in the sun a little because fake tanner also either looks too orange or too yellow.... |

| | I swichted from holiday skin to the St. Tropez Everyday lotion which is the same deal, except a lot dearer but so worth it.
It doesn't streak, and it's smells a lot better. Yikes i hate the "holiday skin wet dog stench". I can even tell when others have used it.. |

| | | I find that to get the best out of it, you have to use it every single day, without fail, and if you're in a rush, that's not gonna happen... So I'm not a fan of it really, mainly because of the high maintenance of it. |

I heard so many good things about Johnson's and then I tried it and it was super streaky. Maybe it works better for some than others |

| | | I've got both Johnson's holiday skin and a Loreal one (sorry cba to get up and look what its called) but it was so long ago since I used them I can't remember which one streaked. I guess it was Johnson's!
I got them last summer and barely used them. Do you think I still could? Or do they go funny after a while? I don't want orange legs!!! |

| | | Can anyone recommend a less high-maintenance lotion? (As in, one that you don't have to put on every single day and won't look like shit?)
Is the Dove one like that? |

| | | dove was shit for me
the same with johnson's
loreal was good and nivea
but all of them are shity when is so hot outside and you start to sweat because that causes stain on your skin,
better go natural or catch a tan outside |

Go figure!) and I want to wear shorts soon, dammit. And you're right, when you go outside (I find the lotion quite heavy on my skin anyway), you sweat and it feels even worse... |

| | | If you are wanting some less high maintainance and doesn't need putting on every day. I would go with a proper fake tan rather than the gradual body lotions. Or even a wash off one for just when you are getting your legs out. |

Perhaps I'll just show off my paleness, and let other people deal with it! Haha! |

| | | I've found the best way to stop streaks is to put a regular moisturiser on first. It really helps.
Johnson's was too thick and orange for me. The Dove one has a gorgeous colour but it takes forever to dry, so bits of it always came off. Garnier is my favourite. |

| | Johnson's lotion didn't work for me either.
I use Clinique, it doesn't streak but it stinks of vinegar.
Also, there is one in a gel from Clarins that was really good.
I sometimes top-up with "glowing lotion" from FCUK, it washes off and brings a light tan and a little shimme to my legs
The best fake tan I ever had was when I had it done professionally, but it was very expensive... |
