I go to a rather high end salon, when I get cuts I always tip her like $20. But what about when I go in periodically to get my bangs shaped (she does this free for clients), how much should I tip?

I've got the same question. I usually try to give her like $5 but she's this awesome Russian lady who will never ever accept it. So I always have to throw it at the counter and run. I hope I leave enough?

i'd say 5 to 10.
all the times ive ever dyed or trimmed my friend's hair and they insisted on tipping (and im not even a stylist lol, i just know how to do hair) and they ask how much would be fair i usually say no more than ten. and i really dont even like taking the money then.
