| | are you talking about patches? are they dry little patches?
i had a red blotch by my lip, and after it not going away fro like 5 months, I finally went to the dr. for it, and they gave me some cream & it never showed back up again. but if the cream didn't work, they said it could be pre-canceous and have to burn it off!

Is it tiny broken capillaries under the skin? I have some of them and I really hate them; my grandma has it quite badly and it worries me that I'll get skin like her. Foundation, I guess, but if it is this problem then I think you can get them lasered? I've never looked into it but always wanted it done...but it's probably really expensive. I saw it on that "10 years younger" programme, which always makes me like I should be having pre-emptive surgery at 18
Otherwise, I don't know what it is. I would have thought it was eczema, as I thought that was dry, and you don't mention having dry skin. |

I just think alien-she has a touch of Irish skin...I'm blotchy too in places, and I blush REALLY bad. It's almost painful....I can tell everyone just stares and thinks...."Christ, he's actually a fucking tomato!" |

From not having a problem to suddenly having one you are stuck with doesnt sound like something "normal" for that particular person. I know we get red easily, but it will go away and come back.
I got this from e-cure me. on the skin, alcohol causes dilation of surface capillaries (tiny blood vessels), resulting in facial flushing and a pinkish-red hue to the cheeks. With chronic use of alcohol, the face and nose will sustain flushing and appear red.
I know its sounds a bit far fetched cause we associate that with old fella whiskey drinkers but if you are fond of the the tipple, not impossible. |
