Achilles tendon trouble

Ok so for the past couple of weeks my acillies tendon in my left foot has been hurting a lot when ever I walk and I have no idea why! I haven’t fallen over, done strenuous exercise and I never wear heels. Its not bruised or swolen. I rested it for a few days but just walking around campus a little today and its worse, im limping like crazy. Any suggestions as to what is up and what can help? I tried an ankle support and ibuprofen gel but those have failed. I know I need to go to the doc but its a few days before I can get an appointment and it really hurts!

i would try adn stay off it as much as possible and when you do have to walk, ice for twenty minutes afterwards each time. take ibuprofen as directed on the bottle and get in to see a doc soon! make sure you get a referral to see a physical therapist. bc they will be able to help you much more than a general practitioner or family doc will.

go to the doctor!
When I moved 2 years ago, mine was bothering me & I ignored it. By the time I had actually moved all my stuff I couldn't walk. I had no idea why, it just fucking hurt. I finally went to the doctor & turns out I had ripped mine. He thought actually that I had hurt it sometime in the past never did anytihng about it & then re-injured a past injury. For the life of me I still don't know what the hell I did to it to begin with, but yeah it sucks. You should check it out just in case.
