| | | A friend of mine's boyfriend had mollescum.
Which apparently doesn't even last year, but he's had it since like August, and it's still not gone.
It's sad--they're both really fuckin annoyed.
Her and her boyfriend can barely even fool around.
That's not even an STD necessarily, though.
Apparently, you can get it just from touching an infected-someone's hand, and then touching yourself down there later.
But apparently it goes away quickly and is just annoying.
Her doctor told her if there's any kind of STD you'd have to choose, you'd want to choose that one. |

| | yep i got diagnosed with hpv last tuesday, then i had to go back in yesterday and find out if i had internal warts also, and cos she also did swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhea and all the rest of it. those all came up clear, but instead of checking for internal warts and then prescribing the (expensive) cream, she's just referring me to hospital.
which sucks, cos its really hard for me to take time off work, cos i run a small office, so when i'm not here, there's no one to answer the phone etc etc, and i feel bad taking more than an hour off.
but the plus side is, initially the do it yourself at home treatment was $160, and then my gp said i would have to take a test to see which particular strand of hpv i have - and if its one of the 4 aggressive ones - and that test itself is $250. but because she's referring me to hospital, the treatment is free, as is the test.
i had the worst week of my life last week i reckon, but now that i've realised how supportive everyone is, and just how common stds are (that does sound ignorant and selfish but it does help) things are sort of looking up. |
