| | | Art summer project help Im going to a founation art course in september but they have given us a project to do over the summer. It's basically to do with celebrity culture n stuff bt im struggling to think of relevant artists.
So far i've got andy warhol, richard hamilton, peter blake, hew locke, Cindy sherman , sophie calle , tracey emin, david lachape, barbara kreugar , helmet Newman and Sam Taylor-wood
Can anyone think of any artists whose work comments on issues of popular culture or identity? |

| | Are you going more for the glamour type popular culture as in pop art stuff or are you making more of a media sucks type approach and going for Jenny Saville type body perfection contemplation? I'll rack my tired brain cells for you if you give me a bit more information |

| | | oooh your project sounds so much more interesting than what we had to do our project about before the foundation course started ours was what holds the sky up? They didn't even ask us to hand it in so I wouldn't stress out too much haha.
What college are you going to just out of interest? Your list of artists sounds pretty good so far umm what about Rauschenberg? What aspect of celebrity culture are you planning on making the focus of the project? You should do something feminist, the negative affects celebrity culture has on young womenor something , that should impress them. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
