hey!

can anyone recommend some good online or nyc shops where i can buy cool charms/pendants such as the usual sparrows, birds, trees, branches, etc that you see around on necklaces? i know some of them are vintage stuff, but some i see all over so they must be coming from somewhere!

I don't know any in NYC or online, but if you google you should come up with a ton and be able to see if it's to your taste and compare prices.

If no one here is able to help you might try the etsy board?

junk shops are awesome for finding old, ratty jewellery that can be broken up and re-vamped. you find some really amazing and unique charms etc for so cheap, & you can just break up the old jewellery and create something new.

junk shops and those 99c stores are great for jewellery that you can pull apart and remake. Even the ugliest thing you find can be redeemed with a little imagination!
