I have just completed an order for a bargainous pair of white leather boots online, and I want to dye them bottle green. I figured I'd clean them and remove any waterproofing coating and then dye them without too much trouble.
Since I've never done this before, I'd appreciate it if someone who has could give me tips/recommend products that are good to use.
Will I have to apply a protective coating to them once I've finished? If so, what products are good to use for this?
What solvents should I use to clean the leather with to make sure the dye takes?
