| Pro Digital Camera Advice needed I have found a renewed passion and talent for photography. While I used to work in the field as an assistant to pros and as a make-up artist, this was 10 years ago. But the reason my fires are lit again is because of digital. I love that I can see my work while I'm still feeling it, that and I can afford pro printing because I can select beforehand.
But here's the thing, I want to shoot at the shutter speed of a pro manual film camera. Things like red eye and light control aren't an issue, I know how to control that blind. I don't need those features. It's the problem of having to 'freeze' while the shot takes. Sure, yes, I have a cheap digital now, but I bought it for snapshots ( and it's been fine, but not for when I get fired up, or if my subject moves).
Does anyone here have any suggestions for a good semi-pro digital? I'm mostly shooting outside (I live in Montana), so while I understand if I drop it on rocks I screwed, but it can't be wary of elements (my last shoot was in heavy snow, it wash fresh, couldn't miss it).
I say semi-pro because I can't write off the cost, and it's a hobby now.The only higher end features I really want are frame stability and higher shutter speed. Does anyone have a favorite digital with those features? While I have a budget, it's higher considering I'm used to pro prices. Links would be great! Thank you |
