& Thank you! Those are all from like, two years ago.

| | PI film? But yeah, if those last shots were two years ago, just think how much better you'll be by now eh
Mistress F - good to see you've got yourself hooked up with a trusty 50mm/1.8 - it'll definitely improve your gig shots by a great amount. They're just the handiest lenses to have for just about everything. |

So when I bring then in for developing I don't have to pay anything because that cost was included when the film was bought. My great aunt gave a whole bag full of the shit to me when she lost her eye site.
I have a few rolls that I took a few months ago, I don't even remember what's on them though.

| | so i went. i would've appreciated the organizers to tell me that thay play in full darkness with only a little strobo light flashing constantly on the bottom of the stage. damn. i did not brigh my flash with me therefore had serious problmes shooting (no lights, no photography...)
i've somehow managed to shoot this one im pretty proud of, if it was a bit more bright i'd be happier, but still...

Ahh, sounds like the perfect opportunity for some three-second exposures! Have you tried bringing that image out in photoshop? Personally, I'd crop it down a bit tighter and try and bring some of that light out using the levels tool.
I also see from your exifs on flickr that you shot it ISO 1250 at f/2.8 - it'd have turned out a lot better if you'd shot it at f/1.8 at 1600 (almost two stops brighter), or even jammed your ISO up to 3200 (I think the D200 can do that, called HI+1 maybe?) seeing as you're only shooting in black and white?
Emmah:
Hopefully good storage should keep the film happy. I'm worried for my nice rolls of Portra 160 and Ilford SFX that have been living in the glovebox of my van for the last 6 weeks, so much for the nice refrigerated storage they got back home! But hey, not processing stuff for months is half the fun of film, lots of forgetting that you actually went and shot certain stuff :-) |

| i think the whole point of them playing that way is to have a certain kind of pics taken, as you've said long exposures and flashlight (like this one http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3235/...57d16b1d6b.jpg ) .... should i've known thise before leaving home.... im so mad!
anyway the pic itself has already been cropped a little and i've already turned the lights higher, it originally was way darker. Quote: |

| i tried to shoot 1.8 but it was worse, mainly cause i *had* to use the flash (the one thats already in the camera) and the results were pretty poor :|
it was FULL darkness and the strobo was pretty far from them anyway, so even when it was flashing the light was just poor.
im overall disappointed with the whole situation ahaha, we'll see what happens tonight with santogold - different club, with very bad lights, but at least they'll be on |

| | Well I just shot my first ever gig with my Nikon D700 the other night, and I can honestly say I'm blown away by how good it is! I can fire it up to ISO6400 and it still looks a shitload better than my old D70 did even at ISO800 or 1600. Plus, combining that with the 85mm/1.8 made me even happier! The pics are here if anyone's interested in viewing them (I'll show some here when I upload them to flickr).
Anyway, some more photos:

I've finally found a lab that will do my Ilford SFX, so might finish that off pretty soon and hopefully get some results online :-) |
