| | I was a bit of a nitwit and posted some photos on the sept photo thread, but here are some others. I'm only just getting over my ridiculous theory that since they're on facebook they don't need to be on kittyradio so bear with me while I am spreading them about. Some are quite old:
murano
venice

| | I got a thing in one of my photography magazines recently about Nikon's Photo Contest International and though I might enter. So, you guys might too! Nikon Photo Contest International 2008-2009 / ニコン フォトコンテスト インターナショナル 2008-2009
The categories are: Free Subject: works that convey the photographer's unique perspective and creativity. My Planet: works that express your feelings about your world, whether that involves the environment, scenes from your daily life, or people and other things that stir your passions.
You can submit eight images total: Two entries per category sent as prints in the mail, and two entries per category sent via the internet.
I figure my chances of winning are slim, since last year there were 47,000 photos submitted, but I'm doing it for fun haha. Although I don't know what to send in yet??
I'd love to see one of you guys win or something, so enter! Deadline is November 30th, 2008

| | | I'm assuming the Nikon photo contest is exclusively for images shot on Nikon Cameras?
Not that it matters, because I mostly shoot on Nikons anyway, but hey!
Don't think I'll bother anyway, saw the quality of some of the previous winners and I know I'm WAY short in terms of anything I have to offer. |

| | | I'm not sure if you have to shoot with Nikons, I wondered the same thing. Never read anything about it, but then again I didn't read everything on the website.
You should enter for the hell of entering, it'll take you twoooo seconds.

| | | ....... I am an amateur, so I'm not going to subject you to my ridiculous crap. I just wanted to bring up my favorite up and comping young photographer from Portugal, Leonor Ivanova. Most of her work leans more towards surrealism...yet it represents realism...if that makes sense.
I don't want to post too much, but here is a taste...look her up if you like! (BTW, she is...about 16 years old now, I think...)

| | | I had a look, turns out you don't need to be shooting a Nikon, but you have to use a digital camera or shoot on 35mm or APS film - basically anything that isn't medium or large format. I might enter, but I'm not exactly gonna be holding out much hope. Plus, the prizes are only camera gear, and I have more than enough of that as it is! |
