I've been in berlin (i NEED to go to berlin at least once a year) and i took a zillions of photos.
i've just uploaded 2, randomly picked as i should be studying instead of looking at the photos and sighing

starbucks might seem lame, but i really suffer when i come back home as we're the only country on earth that doesnt have one.
amity - thanks SO much, these are beautiful. i can't wait for it to be october 14th now
mistress f - i LOVE berlin. do you have a favourite place there? (maybe i know it. but i doubt that as i have only been 3 times and all of them rather short). and your photos are really really amazing.

Mistress F, you DO live in Italy right? You DO realise that Italian coffee is 500% better than that watery American stuff?
ahaha of course i know, but i guess im attached to starbucks for 2 reasons
a) it's the only place where you can get a decent espresso outside italy (true story! any italian will agree)
b) im totally addicted to mocha frappucino and i cant have it here so whenever im out of italy i go nuts.
i might add
c) we have a totally diffrenet way of 'consuming' coffe and co. around here, we dont really have many places where you can sit and drink and do your stuff (not for a prolonged time, not like that)
so many of us would like to have a starbucks or two around here but my point c it's mainly the reason there are none...

i adore berlin. i just love it, beyond explainable. even just strolling around makes me feel happy. it's so calm in it's own way i just feel at ease and peaceful... especially in winter when it's so cold i feel like im gonna die but it's so beautiful all covered in snow ... A favourite place? i don't know. i guess i love to walk around prenzlauer berg, and stop at any bar/cafe i find, i love the cemeteries (creepy? not so much) - esp the old jewish one, the one that's still in the same conditions it was after the war - it looks out of this world (i also took hundreds of photos but i still have to upload them).... then i don't know? i cant think of a specific place right now, i'll let you know
on topic, i think i've developed a fetish for mr spencer's legs. or for all of his body, considering i took 182 photos - ONLY OF HIM. so much for beign obsessive-compulsive, ?

i know what you mean, i feel very similar about berlin. it's an awesome city and i cannot wait until i find an excuse to go there again.
i couldn't name a fav place either. oh wait, i'm wrong, there is one.
the bridge on the left of the picture. i don't know what it's called though.
apart from it being really beautiful (and the view down the river spree on either side being really amazing) the reason i love it is mostly a sentimental one, as it reminds me of my first visit in berlin. i had to walk over it when going from/to the train station.
funnily enough, i have been there each time i went to berlin (not on purpose though).

the Oberbaum bridge!
ahahah! same here. i LOVE it. it reminds me of the first time i've been to berlin and we passed on it coming from the airport and i remember thinking oh this is so beautiful! and i somehow always manage to go there, but i never had the chance to take a pic. but i always wanted to! i was going to mention it but i thought i'd sound lame naming a bridge i've always passed on by train. great to see im not the only one
